Does Vietnam have a coastal marina?
As of this writing, there is only one coastal marina open in Vietnam, the AnaMarina in Nha Trang. I visited there last week. It is open only as a private marina, accommodating small boats, catamarans, and super yachts. However, at the this time AnaMarina is open only to Vietnamese nationals. There is currently an application pending to include foreigners. The application is under review by the Vietnamese government. Approval is expected in 2023.
Does Danang have a marina?
Many have asked about the Danang , or DHC Marina. The name is misleading, because it’s not a real port, but rather a tourist attraction including a restaurant on the Han River. Shaped like a boat, it is a landmark close to the Dragon Bridge in downtown Danang.
The planned marina in Danang for mooring boats is further up the river, and is currently on hold. Some buildings have already been constructed, however there seems to be a problem with obtaining needed environmental permits. At this point, there is only a website, and the above-mentioned buildings, but further construction is on hold. Hopefully that will change soon.
